wandering around on the net, I came across a new article published TvBlog in which it is reported that a lack of production of Japanese animated series inspired by Pippi Longstocking . The fact dates back to 1971 and this production was to be made no less than by the masters of anime Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata , founders of the famous and legendary Studio Ghibli. But the TV series did not: to find out why read on. had to be there a Pippi Longstocking made in Japan: Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata in 1971 had in mind make a TV series dedicated to the girl with red hair. Engaged in a long project, but the author Astrid Lindgren's book, from which it would have been the series, did not give permission and the anime was never made. After this disappointment, the authors used the main character for the short film "Kopanda Panda," directed by Isao Takahata, with the script and drawings by Hayao Miyazaki, shown for the first time in Japan in 1972 and still unpublished in Italy. Mimiko, the girl in the movie looks a lot like Pippi, with red hair shot into the air as many braids and freckles. Vivacious and independent, the young girl left alone after the departure of her grandmother for a sudden trip. Returning house through a bamboo grove and runs into a small panda that follows. Then comes the father of the little panda and the three decide to become a family. The soft and fluffy pandas are considered the precursors of the soft and strange creatures in the film "My Neighbor Totoro" in 1988, while the girl will inspire little Mei, friends with Totoro. The sigletta is catchy, with animated titles in a fun way as those made for the film "My Neighbor Totoro."
