Petardas Mexicanas Follando

IN FUGA - Alice Munro

A series of short stories, which are located in territory that indefinable that for some is merely the "Alice Munro Country." Most of the stories take place in small towns in Ontario, the protagonists are mostly women of all ages, panting passions and yearning for freedom. But the author also tells the anxieties of adolescence, the difficult relationships between parents and children, the different aspects of love, illness and death. Stories in a few pages condense a lifetime. A writer who constructs, using mock direct and simple prose, the narrative structures of great depth and complessità.Scrive Peter Citati about Alice Munro: "Suddenly he opened a blank space in a story. In the white spend years decades: a chasm away the present and the past, the time passes without anyone noticing, and we feel at the same time, the sense of continuity and that of the tear forming the fabric of our lives unequal. "In this new European Munro, contrary to what happens in the other, there are three stories - "Fatality", "Soon" and "Silence" - have the same woman as the protagonist, online. Or rather, separated by white abysses in which the time precipitate feelings resurface and then creating situations that represent stories in their own right: caesuras drastic, but not unlike the "white" within each story mentioned mentioned. It 's like all the stories of Munro narrate a novel set long-mosaic in which each piece is a woman's life and of human and natural landscape that surrounds it. That of Juliet, the protagonist of the three stories mentioned above, is the story of the traumatic and painful separation between a mother and daughter, through which both find their identity and the courage to live by the desire rather than duty.
