Published for the first time in 1818 and now counted among the classics of literature, Frankenstein has not only laid the foundations of modern science fiction, but even thriller. The young Victor Frankenstein travels to Ingolstadt University of cultivating the utopia of creating a more intelligent human being and longevity. After sleepless nights, frantic and repeated searches in the ossuaries experiments, a rise to be greater than normal, misshapen appearance, which escapes as soon as those come to life. Seized with remorse for what created, Frankenstein falls prey to a violent collapse, bordering on madness. Back home, he discovers that his brother William was killed by the monster, determined to exact revenge on the man who, although responsible for his fate, he had kicked, leaving him alone and unaware of his destiny. Hoping to get rid of permanently, Viktor promises to create a female being equal to him, so as to end the torment of loneliness, but shortly before finishing his work, from the race of monsters terrified that the couple could have generated, he decided to destroy it. Discovered what had happened, the monster vows revenge and Viktor is forced to watch helplessly the killing of his loved ones, and then chase the demon up to the Pole, never able to find it. The drama of a scientist who goes beyond the limit permitted and humanly inexpressible loneliness of the creature he created, which pours into violence.
